~ alfie lee is a Singapore born artist
working in the media of writing, photography and design.
~ Publishes book of poems, “Yellow: Ginnie’s Favourite Colour”
(Writers Forum, London) in 1995.
~ Poems are adapted into a performance by TheatreWorks,
an internationally acclaimed theatre company based in Singapore,
as part of the prestigious SPH Festival of New Writing in 1996.
~ Publishes thesis “Urban Experience and Language Poetry” in 1997.
~ Part of “The Fragile Eye”, a group photography exhibition,
organized by the Photographic Society of Singapore in 1998.
~ One of three poets invited to participate in “New Voices from Singapore”,
an audio compact disc of poems, produced by Dr Rajeev S. Patke,
National University of Singapore, 1999.
~ Part of “Fresh Impressions”, a photography exhibition organised
by MediaCorp, Singapore’s leading broadcaster, the same year.
~ Publishes “Monster Construction”, a quarterly women’s
photo-centric style magazine distributed in Singapore
and the United States in 2003.
~ Contributes photography and music reviews
to Singapore’s leading broadsheet The Straits Times (circ. 400,000).
~ Part of “+digitalized”, an exhibition of digital print art,
featuring the leading names in the medium, in 2004.
~ Launches photo site alfielee.com in 2006.
~ Featured in British style-bible Dazed & Confused magazine’s
Creative Directory for Photographers in 2005.
~ Launches writing site alfieleewriting.com in 2006.
~ Launches on-line graphic design shop alfieleedesign in 2006.
~ "The Man Who Invented the Washing Machine", a short story,
published by Quarterly Literary Review Singapore (QLRS)
